Everything Shows on Your Face. A New Beauty Podcast

Do you know how to tell your skin type? Did you know this diagnosis can change over time? Skin is the biggest human organ, so know everything about it. Time to catch up, a beauty podcast series with experts launches. Partnered by Nutridome.
"Everything shows on your face" – says Agnes Frankel, a certified expert with an International Anti-Aging Specialisation and European Society of Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine specialist title. She guests in the first season of "Dermohistorie". Interviews are led by Ola – a woman who, like us, loves beauty and healthy lifestyles. She heard lots about naturalness, ecology, ingredients, minimalism. She wants to satisfy curiosity and gain solid knowledge.
The conversation is all about skin.
Many women do not know this
Many people miss skin's key role – yet it is the biggest human organ! How can it hide so many secrets? Doctor Frankel tries answering this and many more questions. In a layperson-friendly way she explains processes happening in skin. In episode one listeners learn how to tell their skin type and why not to do it alone, what mistakes to make and how skin type can change. The expert advises how to act in specific cases and what to avoid entirely.
The first season will have 5 episodes. Each is based on conversations with doctor Frankel. The podcast covers beauty problems and conscious care. The specialist encourages conscious knowledge and experience gathering.
Unverified information
"It is like, as you know, Google holds a melting pot of information not only about skin, but now we focus on skin, so reading about skin types brings true and false info, so always verify. Meaning read by all means, but remember to ask many questions and keep a big question mark while reading anything unverified" – says doctor Agnes Frankel.
Yes, beauty topics appear on almost every blog, but not all information there is verified. Myths repeat, outdated studies are cited, sometimes harmful fake news is even promoted. Hence "Dermohistorie" was created. The programme was made with Nutridome – a cosmetics brand describing conscious care topics for years. It shares knowledge and support, promotes ingredient transparency and natural products. It also developed an ecological packaging system using only eco-friendly materials.
"At Nutridome we focus not only on cosmetics sales. We also promote conscious care. We want every customer to expand knowledge about the surrounding world and themselves. We know meeting body needs well requires knowing lots about it. We also recognise the information noise we live in. Amid all kinds of news, including many myths and fake news, it is hard to navigate and easy to fall into extremes" – says Paulina Makowiecka, Head of Marketing at Nutridome.
Surprising popularity
Creating a podcast, the brand joins other big brands running similar projects. Among them are Allegro, Mercedes-Benz, Reserved, Rossmann. Growing podcast popularity makes more companies choose such investments. According to Agora one in four Polish internet users listens to podcasts. Over 70% of users reportedly gain knowledge about culture, technology, plus social and scientific matters. Surprisingly, celebrity life topics enjoy much lower popularity.
According to Global Entertainment and Media Outlook forecasts, in 3 years global monthly podcast listeners may reach 1.5 billion. No wonder. Most internet users listen for relaxation or plain entertainment – usually at home. The pandemic gave many more chances to calmly listen, making 2020 the year of podcasts. But all signs show this new habit will stay in 2022 too.
