The designer died aged 73

Mugler dressed the most famous 90s supermodels like Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, to today's stars Kim Kardashian and Cardi B. In 1974 he launched his first Ready-to-Wear Fashion collection, then his first scent, Oriental Gourmand Angel perfume, in 1992.

Thierry Mugler was a French fashion designer, photographer, Beyonce artistic advisor, writer and creator of the best perfumes. Besides dresses and many suits he also independently directed a commercial for his own most "delicious" world perfumes – Angel Thierry Mugler.

The designer started his career in early 70s Paris at the Karin fashion house. His work features broad shoulders and theatricality. In particular Mugler's work is inspired by 1940. A mix of well-defined works and futuristic influences distinguishes the creator's work from contemporaries.

On Sunday 23 January 2022 Thierry Mugler's representatives announced via Instagram that the creator died aged 73. No further designer death details were revealed at this time.

Throughout his career Mugler dressed some of the biggest stars of all generations, including Naomi Campbell, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Cardi B, Beyonce and others. He retired in 2003, but returned to designing in 2019 to create Kim Kardashian's Met Gala 2019 dress, known as the "Wet Dress".
